The environment of a British caravan park is a unique one. I find these parks fascinating for their regimented yet varied plots, some manicured to perfection, others neglected and aged. These areas are entirely managed and constructed sections of land designed to function as peaceful, outdoor, yet utilitarian spaces that encourage nature to flourish in amongst a maze of metal boxes and pathways.

The photographs comment on the compulsion to create a private dwelling within these public spaces and show the tension and contrasts between the two, producing an interesting mix of serenity and bathos.
