Reflections on  PSLP

Its already been 5 weeks of PSLP

So far I also enjoyed learning in PSLP lecture. Because every time, there will be group assignment in class and we need to submit before the class end. This actually was a good type in learning because we can discuss with our friends. The lecturer will be there if you have doubts when none of your friend can answer your questions. From research, it shows that, we can understand better when we have a group discussion with our friends. Besides, the lecturer also provides us with important equations that will be used in our group assignment. This type of learning helps us a lot, because sometimes we are not able to copy all the equations.

reflections on board game

Our game basically is based on “Snakes and Ladders” with some modifications:

One of the example that we do in modify it, we do not use dice to play, but players will move forward when they can answers the questions and vice versa. We also have some trap in the snake and ladders and the “lucky” person will be answering the toughest question.

REflections on CPDIC

To be honest this is the toughest subject among the three:

I am barely able to understand the subject. For the first chapter I still can understand the co - relation, then it getting tougher and tougher. I don’t know how to manage and coop with the subject.  Furthermore, as I can see process and dynamic control more to mathematical as we need to know deeply about the differentiations that is more likely to be like our ordinary differential equation that we have learn during our first year of degree. So we need to polish back our mathematical skills.

Reflection on KRD Questions in the Board Game:

As I was enjoyed in krd class, I find its quiet easy  to understand what the questions need. But we must fully understand what the questions want because most of the questions on krd is quite tricky.

Reflection on cpdic Questions in the Board Game:

I was hardly to be able to understand what the questions want, as in class I was also hardly to understand. Moreover, control and process basically is more on mathematical. We also need to very understand the gist behind it.

Reflection on pslp Questions in the Board Game:

Pslp basically more to facts question and we must fully understand on situation in order to apply it. It might be easy but we need to fully understand the questions because different questions have different situation.

Reflections  on  2nd KRD project

For the second phase of this project, l manage to polish back my academic writing subject  back in first year first semester as we need to write a literature review for our mini project. Besides, I also gain more information as we do the literature reviews; we need to refer a lot of research paper in order to find information in order to produce good result. Besides, I also learn how to use Prezi in producing mind map for a better presentation. Furthermore, this project also give me some overview how engineer in different sector work together as a team. For example, engineer from the process control and safety work as a team in order to make sure their plan function and do not cause harm to the people.

Meanwhile, I also learn that everyone should have soft skill in order to make them a better person. What I mean is, they need to take responsibility before tells to do so. This actually can develop a well orientated engineer that will be needed in the industry. Last but not least, communication also important in making our organizational becomes more success.

Reflections  on  KRD

Among of the three courses I think the most subject that I can understand better is Kinetic reactor design:

In class after having a short lecture we will be doing the example in the class and our lecturer Madam Suzana will be guiding us. Apart from that, the tutorials have helped us a lot in class. This is because our tutorial is based on the next lecture. So before going into the lecture, we have some ideas regarding what we will be learning. Basically, the first chapter is the roots to the chapters that we have learn so far. For me, learning kinetic reactor design can give me the whole picture on how plant is design and how it will be operate and what condition that would be needed. That’s why I really enjoy learning kinetic reactor design.

Reflections  on  2nd KRD

as time goes by, this subject become harder and harder as the application become more complicated. For example in non isothermal reaction we need to consider the energy balance. Even the temperature is not constant as process goes by. So it will affect the value of rate constant.

Reflections  on  2nd pslp

For the second part of the semester, it teach more on how can hazard happen such as fire and explosion and how to prevent this from happening. Besides it's also tell us about some law that has been implemented in industrial.

Reflections  on  2nd CPDIC

For the second half of this semester, I can understand better compare to the first half of the semester. Basically, this phase involve more on the instrumentation part compare to the first part of this subject. From these phase, I can see the overview how actually this control process all about
