Reflections on  KRD

Thoughts on Kinetic Reaction Design so far this semester:

My reflection on KRD so far this semester is that this subject is, along with CPDIC, the fundamentals of Chemical Engineering. So far, this semester, we have learned about the types and characteristic of reactors available to us in the field. Its fascinating how each reactor stands apart to us.

A thing I have to commend the lecturer about is that I love that we are given a exercise question after every chapter as this clarifies our understanding. I dislike that we have to hand it in as it makes it harder to refer later.

REflections on PSLP

Thoughts on Process Safety Loss Prevention

My reflection on PSLP this semester is that I was honestly expecting something along the lines of HSE except with equations, but I was wrong. This subject covers a lot of things from personal hygiene to mass gas release. More or less, this subject is the basis of the student if he or she decided to major in Safety Enginering

Similarly to KRD, the lecturer gives exercises to

ensure the student understands what is being done.

Thoughts on the board game

The game major problems with this game is to choose a board style that is simple to ensure that the rules do not complicate or confuse people, a pick and play type of game that even a freshman can use. The second problem is a scoring system that is unbiased and fun, basically so that even if you are in last place, you can still win and if you are in first, you have to keep looking over your shoulder!

What we made is a game that I hope can educate and be fun at the same time

Reflection on KRD Questions in the Board Game:

The question I made are a mixture of medium to deep level question because this chapter is

fairly simple when you get a grip on the subject. But, seeing as this is a game that we want people

to understand and to, above all else, have fun, my questions are considered difficult in the context of

a board game and not difficult such as a final year question.

Reflection on cpdic Questions in the Board Game:

Now this one was a difficult one. This is cause this subject is all more or less the derivation of

equations based off of different conditions provided. But, the text book to the rescue. Due to

referencing the text book, I was able to read theoretical questions and, from there make a few

questions based on theory. The difficulty varies, but it does not difficult in the context of a board game.

Reflection on pslp Questions in the Board Game:

This was what I expected to be the easiest to make, but it was not. This is due to this subject being

majority equations that we have been though. But, as with CPDIC, I referred to the text book and from

there, I was able to make a few questions.

Reflections  on  cpdic

Thoughts on Control Process Dynamic Instrumental Control so far this semester:

My reflection on CPDIC so far this semester is that so far, this subject has us understanding the fundamentals of mass and energy balancing and that by changing one little detail in a system, it can drastically affect the outcome and is frankly interesting.

Reflections  on  2nd project

You have no idea how messed up our scedule was for the second half of the semester:

My reflection for the 2nd project, I oversaw 90% of everything that needed technical skill. But our schedule was packed, but in a weird sadistic way, it was fun seeing how different people coped with it. I was people that totally ignore the project till last minute, I saw non-stop meetings for the project. But, anyway, I enjoyed seeing the teamwork and the team cohesion in the face of adversity and I say I am proud of all my group mates for doing their part

Reflections  on  2nd half cpdic

Theory is over at last:

My reflection on CPDIC is that the second half was more based off of practical application that strayed away from theory (which we wont apply in our working life as we will just refer to a book that we have anyway). I would say, this subject is the more challenging but also the most enjoyable. I learning a lot about the basics of plants and how to control the plants.

Reflections  on  2nd krd

Well, that was interesting second part:

My reflection on KRD was that it was interesting. The ways that the teaching was presented was nice, new and fresh. I dont think the more tradition geeks like this method, as it does not have books or slides, but learning through youtube has been done in various countries for a while already, so it nice to see Malaysia finally keeping up. If only we started encoperating games into our teaching like how Sweden is making minecraft a subject to teach HSE and that Denmark made a block for block to scale minecraft version of Denmark to teach geometry of the country.

Reflections  on  2nd pslp

Consistency should be the lecturers middle name:

My reflection on PSLP is that it did not change at all from the 1st half. Like for KRD and CPDIC, there was a vast change in teaching styles. For PSLP, the method which I think in our lecturers opinion is tried and true is that he teaches a part, and gives us a exercise at the end of the class to make sure we actually know what we are doing and cant just come to class and fidget with our phones
