What Is Vonage?

Vonage is a VoIP (Voice over Internet Provider) service provider who offers affordable flat rate plans within Canada and United States of America.  They also provide affordable low cost per minute calling rate to other parts of the world.  The moment equipment has been installed; this service works transparently in a way it seems that other users such as the traditional public switched telephone network (PSTN).

What does this mean? It simply means that you can use your telephone to call people; people can call you on your usual phone number as well as your phone will ring as usual when someone calls you through it.

At the same time, call waiting services, forwarding and caller identification services are offered free of charge.

The moment a person signs up for a service package, the first thing Vonage will do is send then an analog telephone adapter to connect their telephone to their network device or computer.  Read more about vonage in en.wikipedia.org.

This cabling equipment requires installation and instructions be provided for configurations. They will also provide software which is an additional feature the gives users the ability to use as a dialing pad. It is generally a substitute for an actual telephone.

This software provides an onscreen display that users can interact with. In other words, if a person is connecting through their PC (may it be a laptop or a desktop), they can use a headset in place of a phone. The thing that makes this service the best is because, it is affordable (Cheap), easy to set up and very easy to sign up for the service.
