Our Story

Pieter - I remember me and Sam's first date like it was yesterday. It was a romantic adventure that would change my life forever. That was the day I met my best friend and soul mate. 

I saw Sam on a dating site that I signed up for and I just had to meet this girl that has the cutes smile I have ever seen. We met that morning at Casa Del Sol which is situated right on the beach front. I was very nervous, the stylish tight pants and heat didnt help. I had a water for the first time in ages and Sam had her favorite Pasion Fruit. She looked like a angel with the wind blowing through her hair. The sun made her hair look like when it sparkles on the ocean. After we had our drinks I suggested that we drive to a more romantic setting....Jonkershoek (Ps by that time here security guard Mamski,checked up all my information) 

We stopped at a little hut at the entrance to the forest for a coffee (ps: I proposed to her in Jonkershoek). From there I thought now it's time for sundowners with a view. I drove us to Asara Wine Estate but not the normal entrance. We drove up a dirt road than I saw a nice spot with a beautiful view. We went for a strole in the vinyards not knowing what security would do. We walked down to a lake and just relaxed on the green grass. Thats where we had our first kiss and her eyes sparkled. Than I knew that would be the first amazing sunset of many to come that we will enjoy together.

Our Story

Sam - I never expected to meet the love of my life on speeddating.com but after talking to this hottie for a week I thought what did I have to lose.

He blew me away from the day we met and it's been the biggest adventure ever since.

One Saturday afternoon I ran out the back door and said to my mom, I wont be long I'm off to the mall and then having coffee with a guy I met online... Don't worry I've checked him out and I think it's safe, bye!

When I got to Casa this man was even more handsome than the pictures I'd Facebook stalked. We sat and chatted about who knows what because his accent had already driven the butterflies round in circles.

We decided the wind was getting too strong so we went to watch the sea at Bikini beach then Pieter decided we should go for a little drive...yes a drive with a strange man I'd just met.

After I'd sent a message to my mom to say I didn't think he was a serial killer and his Facebook information check out, as well as all the other information I thought was relivant we left. We landed up at this tiny shed in Jonkershoek (At this point I still wasn't 100% whether or not this gorgeous man had duct tape and rope in his boot) where we had coffee and spoke about crazy things like climbing Table Mountain - let the record show that Pieter promised right there and then to be my sherper and carry me up Table Mountain. On the way home he took a detour to Asara where we had a very romantic and probably illegal walk through the vineyard and watched the sunset over Stellenbosch and he sneaked his first kiss.

3 days later he packed a very impressive picnic into his gym bag (eh yummy) and drove around the coast. Sitting on the edge of the mountain overlooking the sea I thought to myself I could very easily fall in love with this man, he's my kind of perfect.

2 weeks after we met he asked if I'd like to go with him to visit his aunt in Struisbaai and somewhere along the way on a little dirt road he kissed me and I realised that this would be the man I kiss at the end of the aisle on my wedding day.
