Other Robots in Health Care

Aethon TUG - This robot pulls things about the hospital in its cart, while using ultrasonic “whiskers” to stop in front of objects or moving around them. TUG does autonomous runs and uses a electronic map of the hospital to navigate.

InTouch Health - Would you like your doctor to look like a robot? That’s the question that makes this robot so innovative. iRobot recently came out with this robot to help communicate with your doctor over long distances.

Origami Bot - this bot is so tiny, you can swallow it. MIT researchers have created a robot that folds up and even walks to help repair stomach lining or to extract indigestible objects from the stomach and intestine.

ReWalk - ReWalk is an exterior bodysuit that helps provide paralyzed people to walk again. When you think of an action such as “I want to walk” this sends faint signals through your skin. ReWalk picks up these signals and moves accordingly.

Xenex - Xenex is a small, bulky robot that you place in a room and everyone must evacuate that room. Then, Xenex sends out pulses of ultraviolet (UV) light 25,000 times stronger than the sun. It can kill 95% of germs in five minutes.
