The APIS Group was founded as an association of independent chartered financial advisers in 1994. 

APIS Treasury Services (Switzerland) AG was founded in 2001 and later on sold to The ECU Group plc (then wholly owned by global commodity powerhouse ED & F Man, London).

APIS Finance Devisenschuldenmanagement (Austria) GmbH was founded in 2002 to cater for municipalities, institutions and private trusts. It is privately owned and independent from banks and financial institutions. The company has been engaged in consultancy projects in:
