Alf Mackintosh, Inverness (Scotland). Studied French for beginners at Moray Firth School

"I enjoyed the variety of subjects which we covered and they were all very relevant if we went to France on holiday. I enjoyed the fact that we were all basically about the same level and were encouraged to speak in french even though our questions and answers were perhaps not always correct.
I must add that the home baking produced by our teacher on occasions did add to the enjoyment of the classes but even they helped our french as they were french dishes which we could include in one of the menu's which we had to make up."

Melinda Rice, Memphis, Tennessee (USA). Studied French as an advanced student

"I took private lessons with Isabelle to improve my French, both speaking and writing, when I moved to France to work on finishing my dissertation. The lessons were invaluable. Isabelle was an excellent teacher, patient, encouraging and very well organized. She knew how to    challenge me without frustrating me by going too fast. She always had clear explanations for grammatical rules and always kept her sense  of humor about the idiosyncrasies of the French language. I recommend Isabelle wholeheartedly as a French teacher for any level of  language  ability, beginner to advanced."

"Isabelle taught my son Joe and my daughter Cora in preparation for their GCSEs.  she kindly allowed up to split the hour between them and the other one did homework whilst the other was being taught.  Isabelle reignited their enthusiasm for French by making the lessons fun and interesting.  She also does actually teach French rather than just teaching for the exam.

The best thing was that they both looked forward to their lessons each week. Cora achieved an A* and is now studying for her IB in Italy and Joe is waiting for his result before he goes to study the IB in Costa Rica."
