Born and raised in the suburban outskirts of Syracuse, NY, I was one to learn how important environmentalism is. I quickly developed a passion for the environmental field and decided to attend Ithaca College in 2010 to pursue a degree in Environmental Science. Finding my niche during my four years at the college, I gained perspective on the realm of environmental science as well as the workings of life as a whole. My time as an undergraduate has helped me grow as a student, a professional, and a human being.
Academic Experience
Through a rigorous academic course load, I learned early in my career as a student that I love science. Understanding how the world works, what the world is made from, my curiosity for science is infinite. I find the workings of the human body as fascinating as environmental science, so during my first year I began taking classes required for the Pre-Med Option. From that point on, I took in-depth classes in all sciences with en emphasis on chemistry. Combining this with environmental science, I discovered my passion for the field of toxicology and environmental health. Understanding the effects of chemicals, not only in nature, but also in the human body is truly fascinating.
