On Saturday the BALI GIN Conference 2014 engages students in hands on activities that address the major issues of being a global citizen - awareness of our world and environment and the interconnectedness of all.

The program will open with inspirational CCS student presentation from Jasper.

KEEPING CULTURE ALIVE

Learning the Balinese culture and craft of kite making and building a kite on campus.

The Janggan film kite making crew and  student film makers.

HUMAN RIGHTS - SPEAKING OUT TO SAVE LIVES

A dynamic workshop on Human Rights and the way to assist through creating and telling stories.

SKATE TO EDUCATE   off campus

Volcom skaters and special guest Piru a member of the Yangon Skate Community will hold a skate clinic at Motion skatepark and learn about education through Skateboarding

LITERACY AND LANGUAGE

With Taman Baccan Pelangi, Jodie O'Shea Orphanage and IALF  students will undertake a literacy teaching workshop in Bahasa Indonesian and English.

THE JOURNEY OF SONG

Robi Navicula, Kodi Twiner from Rise of the Eco-Warriors and Asami will conduct a song writing workshop to show how life’s challenges can be understood and overcome through the power of song.

ANIMAL RIGHTS

Simon Husson from Outrop – Chris from Rise of the Eco-Warrior and Bawa will host an interactive presentation on the value of preserving and rescuing animals. The workshop will be led by students and will brainstorm and practice methods of creating sustainable fundraising ideas.

DOCUMENTING OUR WORLD

A group of video makers will be working to document various aspects of the conference as it takes place and in the breakout sessions will edit their work to show at the final closing ceremony and upload onto the web site .
