Theta Delta Chi is an eclectic community of individuals united by good vibes, chill times, and profound reverence for the Old Lady (that would be Minerva, sweet goddess of wisdom). Situated between Scary Path and the Row proper, Theta Delt serves as a beacon of hope for souls set adrift in the hectic currents of Stanford living. Many have noted that time seems to flow more slowly on our property, where sun-kissed spirits traverse slack-lines in between engineering classes and trips to the climbing wall. Residents include dedicated academics, athletes of distinction, artists, writers, thespians of inspiration, surfers, skaters, chillers, and, last but not least, bros of the highest order. Half the guys in our house were "born to frat," while the other half still believe they "won't join a fraternity." We welcome all who tread either side of this dichotomy, and pride ourselves on confounding its binary logic. We strive to create a unique and safe space where everybody feels comfortable being themselves. At TDX, the unofficial motto is: "you do you."

Daily living at the Delt? It's chill, super chill, all the time. We are spoiled with authentic Mexican cuisine served straight from the heart of our beloved chef, Ana-María. She cooks the meanest taco spread you've ever seen, complete with carnitas, chorizo, beef tongue, cactus, and more. She's also known to create a dazzling array of dankies for dessert - Oreo bars, anyone? Meals are a special time at Theta Delt. The whole house turns out to munch in the sun, and we love hosting guests. House meetings are held over Monday dinner (think business casual, minus the "business") and we hold salons to discuss topical articles. Right before dinner is the prime time for pick-up basketball, a daily occurrence organized on the email list and played on our very own court; just reply "Y" to ball out. We also have our own sand volleyball court, where we love to kick back with tunes and our toes in the sand.

Being in TDX isn't all fun and games… we also have parties! We typically focus our efforts on one all-campus banger per quarter, though it usually hits the student body with the force of eight to ten normal parties. You may have found yourself in our dual kitchen-lounge party apparatus for such illustrious events as "TDXistentialism" and "Theta Delta Chi-nda Fun." In addition to these larger gatherings, we are known for our quarterly Easy Groove party, when we gather 'round the stage (built by Delts) clad in collared shirts (read: flannels) to enjoy live music in many varieties. We usually have a house band, or three - check the Links page for some SoundCloud' jams. In the spring, we throw lavish day parties such as Luisapalooza, when we kick off May with a back lawn Slip-N-Side and gorditas served hot by our legendary former chef, Luis. We also have many closed events throughout the quarter, with one of our many sister sororities, our neighbors on the Row, or co-ops around the bend.

Theta Delts also demonstrate a vested interest in philanthropic activity: we love working with the local charity Friends of Children with Special Needs to plan dynamic events such as a recent pumpkin-carving-pneumatic-rocket-launching get together. Delts are active in meaningful activities ranging from sexual assault reform to volunteer work at the Veteran's Administration hospital.

Come one, come all. Chillers, philosophers, athletes, academics and all others. Come see what having a darn good time is all about.
