About

With a passion for progressive medicine, we strive every day to provide the best possible care for our patients while maintaining the highest level of compassion and understanding for our clients. Whether it's routine preventative medicine such as vaccines and heartworm prevention or complex internal medicine and surgical cases, we approach every single case with the same enthusiasm and drive to provide the best possible experience and medical outcome for our patients. We also work very closely with certain rescue organizations including Villalobos Rescue Center from the Animal Planet series Pitbulls and Parolees.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Kristen Kulinski graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.  As a senior student, she won the Schering Plough Internal Medicine Student of the Year award.  She also has a M.S. in Animal Science (Equine Physiology and Endocrinology) from LSU in 2000, as well as two B.S. degrees (Biology and Psychology) from the University of Virginia in 1997. Dr. Kristen’s interests include small animal soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and emergency medicine/surgery. Before starting the clinic in June of 2010, she worked at several emergency clinics, and in a referral hospital. She grew up in northern Virginia riding and showing horses in hunter/jumper competitions. She moved south for graduate school and has never left.   She now lives with her fiancĂ© Dr. Rhett Mouton, and her 8 dogs and 5 cats. She continues to ride and show her horses in her spare time.

Dr. Rhett Mouton is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. After graduating high school in 1997, he pursued a career as a professional touring musician and music producer. After 10 years, over 10 albums, 1 major label record deal, and thousands of touring miles later, he retired from the music industry and returned to college to pursue a "new life" in veterinary medicine and graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. In addition to small animal medicine and surgery, Dr. Mouton also has a special interest in diagnostic imaging, equine dentistry and exotic pet medicine.
