PORTFOLIO

Image #1 The inspiration behind this photo is the pure cuteness of this little boy. He is so photogenic and is one of the funnest kids i know. This made taking photos of him extremely enjoyable as the results were also very good. To make the shot more exciting i got in close as he was taking a breather on his bed. If i were to change something about this photo it would be having more natural light in the room, so it could illuminate his face better.

This picture was taken on our first snowfall of the year! Naturally my inner child came out and i ran to go play in the snow. Grabbing my camera along with me i got some really neat shots on the beautiful sunny day. This was one of my favorites because the sun is peeking out from behind the rock perfectly. Because the light is coming from behind, you are able to perfectly see the cracks and imperfections of the rock. To make the shot more interesting i chose to have the sun coming out from behind it, making it really focus on the rock. Having the word "love" written on it adds to the beauty of the photo. If i were to change something about this photo it would be trying different angles in regards to the sun in the back

This photo was inspired by some amazing light painting tutorials! I spent an afternoon watching some really interesting videos on how to achieve cool affects and was hooked. I decided to take a vintage car toy and use a very slow shutter speed to achieve the lights in the background. This is one of my strongest photos because i was bale to capture the movement of the light in the back while keeping the subject illuminated. Next time i try painting with light in the background, i definitely want to do it in a studio with proper lighting or to go outside in the complete dark!

This is one of my favorite shots because it really enhances something that just seems normal. Everyone loves a good cup of hot chocolate ( at least I do ) and being able to capture it just before the whip cream melted, was perfect. If i was going to make it more powerful i would maybe have taken the photo when i first put the whip cream on ,before it started falling inwards. This was part of my photography modules project which i really enjoyed!
Image # 5
This picture was taken as part of my my fall photos project. It is one of my favorite and strongest photos because of the vibrance of the leaf. One of my favorite times of the year is watching the leaves change color. I am really happy with how this photo turned out because it captures the changing season perfectly. I love bright colors and and i think the way it is blurry in the background makes for a strong photo. If i could improve on this photo i would have a light source hitting the leaf
Image #6
I love this picture because it captures a certain dramatic effect in my one of my closest friends. I loved doing this shoot because I was able to bring out a serious side in my model. I love the way the light is hitting the side of her face. The rest of her body gets lost in the darkness making a very intriguing photo. If i were to reshoot this photo i would love to play around with more lighting. It can be difficult to find the right angles of light for your subject, but it is a challenge I had fun doing

This is one of my strongest macro shots. It looks like your typical flower photo but I really like it because the uniqueness of the flower. I like how i captured the water droplets on the petals. Next time i shoot flower photos i want to focus in even more on the texture of the flower.

Finally one of my favorite photos I have ever taken! I love this photo because it features an extremely cute subject and her love for Hubba Bubba gum. Working with this lovely lady was a lot of fun and i was able to quickly pull out her corky personality. To make the photo more interesting I added the element of the gum to show a bit of her personality. Next time I am shooting with kids I would love to capture them doing some sort of art work or creative project
