ETHIOPIA CULTURAL TOUR

Day 01: City tour Addis Ababa

Meet and familiarization with the group member.

The day is dedicated for sightseeing of Addis Ababa that includes; the National Museum, famous for hosting the Humanoid fossil “LUCY”, Ethnographic Museums, Trinity cathedral and Mercato, the largest open air market in Africa.
At the end of today’s activities you will be briefed about the tour. Cozy Place Hotel

Day 02: Drive to Arba Minch via Hosanna

Tiya stelae field UNESCO world heritage site and Adadi Mariam, the only southerly rock hewn church.

Meet Gurage and Oromo people and visit their villages. Arba Minch Tourist Hotel

Day 03: Full day in Arba Minch

A.M game drive to Nech SAR national park spotting the endemic Swayne’s Heart beast, Burchele zebra and have a boat trip on Lake Chamo, birding, hippos and crocodiles. Arba Minch Tourist Hotel

Day 04: Drive to Jinka

On the way meets the Tsemay, Bana and Ari people and visit their villages.

Attend Thursday local Market at KeyAfer (Tsemay and Erbore people). Goh/Orit Hotel

Day 05: Excursion to Mago

Morning drive from Jinka to Mago National Park, Meet the Mursi Tribe, their women are famous for Lip plates and men for ritual fighting with stick.
Drive back to Jinka and continue to Turmi for overnight. Camping

Day 06: Full day in Turmi

Today you will attend Saturday local market, Dimeka. Meet the colorful Hamer, Karo and Dasenech people.

Boat excursion on the Omo River to Omorate for the Dasenech tribe.
Meets Hamer tribes, visit villages and Tribal dance or Bull Jumping rite, occasional and optional. Camping

Day 07: Drive back to Arba Minch

On the way back to Arba Minch you will meet the Erbore and Konso peoples and visit villages, visit totems, grave marks of the Konso kings. Tourist Hotel

Day 8: Drive to Awassa

Detour for Dorze people, known traditional weaving and a beehive like hut and visiting villages. Back to the road and head to Awassa. Tadesse Enjori Hotel

Day 9: Fish Market at Awassa and Back to Addis Ababa.

Drive back to Addis Ababa. Stop at Ziway Lake for birding and proceed to Abijata and Shalla lakes.

Retire the remaining day or optional activities.
I n the evening Ethiopian traditional night with folkloric traditional dance. Departure
