Pieter Cornelisz (P.C.) Hooftstraat
Best for: Wishful window-shopping and high-brow label-hunting
Amsterdam's mini Fifth Avenue, located in the Museum Quarter neighborhood, is home to high-end classics (Chanel, Gucci, Hermés, Louis Vuitton), jewelry (Chopard, Cartier) and lifestyle stores, as well as several boutiques selling more luxury labels. Azzurro at 142 is the city's only retailer of Christian Louboutin shoes. More moderate shoppers can find reasonable prices in stores like Mexx and Claudia Strater.

Kalverstraat
"Shop 'til you drop" experience
This pedestrian-only street and its adjacent alleys and "Kalvertoren" shopping center feature a mix of chain clothing stores (Esprit, H&M, Mexx, WE, Zara), dozens of shoe stores, Dutch staple stores like HEMA and a pricey, chic department store, Maison de Bonneterie. If you can tolerate the ever-present crowds, you're likely to leave this street with a new purchase in hand.

Dam Square Area
The area around Dam Square offers a wealth of shopping. A favorite is De Bijenkorf, a popular Dutch department store somewhat comparable to the American Bloomingdale's. The many mainstream stores of the nearby Magna Plaza shopping center (behind the Royal Palace) are open seven days a week until 7 p.m. (until 9 p.m. on Thursday).

De Jordaan
An amazing place to discover hidden treasures in a funky Amsterdam areaDe Jordaan, old school shopping
Leidsestraat connects always crowded with tourists Leidesplein square where many cafes, prestigious BMW Mini showroom and Apple Store, several cinemas, theaters and clubs are located, with the city main commercial street, Kalverstraat. Attractive shops as Abercrombie & Fitch, Metz Co. and Camper shoes attract shoppers. Trams ride in the middle of the street, carefully making their way through the walking crowd connecting Leidsestraat with other parts of the city.

Now and in the future, Keukenhof is and will be the international and independent showcase of the Dutch floricultural industry, with a special emphasis on flowering bulbs.
Keukenhof is the platform for the Dutch floricultural sector. For the exhibitors and participants in the flower shows, we provide a superb showcase for their bulbs, flowers and plants.
That's what makes Keukenhof an excellent opportunity to network and meet business contacts. Trade events for growers are also organised regularly. Keukenhof has strong links with all of the relevant organisations in the floricultural and tourist sectors.
