2012
In June 2012, Sakuragi Nene and six other members joined Houkago Princess as the 3rd generation Cadets.

In July of the same year, Nene was the first of the 3rd generation Cadets to be promoted to the group as a Regular member. In October, Nene was a front member for the groups newest release, Kojiki Shika!

2013
On July 28th 2013, Nene announced through her blog that she would be taking a break from her activities with Houkago Princess in order to focus on her studies and University, with an undecided return time. Her final performance with the group of the year was during Tokyo Idol Festival.

2014

Early on in 2014, Nene began to return to her activities within Houkago Princess, though these activities were limited and rather sporadic as she still wanted to focus on University.
 

As of September 2014, Nene has returned to performing with Houkago Princess on a regular basis, and even re-opened her Twitter account and wrote on her blog. She still keeps her focus on University, however her activities have become more frequent.

Trivia

- She is the only other member aside from Mayuka to have a solo song

- She is also the only member to take a long break and return to her activities within Houkago Princess; all other members who took a break decided to graduate afterwards.

- Currently, she is working between both University and her activities within HouPri; she has stated through twitter that she runs back and forth between school and jobs sometimes.
