Manatsu no Yoru no Yume is the 7th single release, 11th overall, from Houkago Princess and was released on September 23rd, 2014. The single was originally supposed to be released in August, however it was postponed due to production issues. This is first single from the group to come in eight editions.

The single comes with six new or unreleased tracks and three re-recorded tracks that had previously been venue-only releases, such as Kojiki Shika!, Ohayou, and Hosoubu Please. The track 2.5 Jigen no Genjitsu si the second solo song to be released by Miyashita Mayuka.

Though her activities at the time were halted due to University, Sakuragi Nene sings in the single and is featured in Types A and E's covers.
