In our supplier diversity initiative, we are committed to four basic operating principles:

• Communicate the need for supplier diversity with all stakeholders
• Ensure business opportunities for small businesses in our procurement process
• Engage small businesses through networking opportunities and informative events
• Monitor and track diversity spend within the organization

Mission

Mount Sinai Health System supplier diversity program is committed to maintaining a competitive, diverse supplier base that is reflective of the communities we serve. We facilitate this by supporting the utilization of qualified businesses that are small and/or diverse (women, minority, LGBT, disabled, veterans, HUBZone, etc).

In support of our mission, we actively:

• Assist small, diverse suppliers in qualifying for contract opportunities through subcontracting and partnerships in hopes of aiding the business development and growth of diverse suppliers.
• Partner with Supplier Diversity and development organizations to provide support services which include guidance on the procurement process, attendance at workshops and networking opportunities. .
