Summer 2013:   Invention   Factory

The Pedal Halo, a bicycle lighting system built into a pedal, was built by Andy Novak and I for the Invention Factory competition.  The pedal provides a halo of light around the bicycle that strobes as the user rides.  The pedal also has turn signals built in that are operated with two buttons at the handlebars of the bicycle.  A provisional patent application was filed on the pedals in August 2013.
