Being a mother of twins is something that only another mother of twins really understands. It's reassuring, and somewhat refreshing to go to an MMOTA meeting and know that others can relate to the same problems and experiences, and have survived them! Mothers of twins are eager to share their ideas and listen to yours. From conversations like these, lasting friendships are formed.
All of us have benefited from the club in various ways. We hope that you will join us at one of our next meetings. We look forward to seeing you!
Our club meets the second Wednesday or Thursday of the months of September, November, March and May.
Meetings begin at 7:00pm at the Walpole Public Library, 143 School Street, Walpole MA. Unless otherwise noted.
We also plan outings, play dates and parties throughout the year.
The Dedham Regional Chapter of the Massachusetts Mothers of Twins Association is a non-profit, tax exempt organization. The group was founded for the education and emotional support of mothers of twins, triplets and higher multiples. The Dedham Chapter was established in 1960 and has over 20 current members. Our district extends from Boston to Uxbridge and is one of 20 twin Chapter districts covering Massachusetts.
Dedham Regional Chapter is a member of the Massachusetts Mothers of Twins Association (MMOTA) and the National Organization of Mothers of Twins chapters, Inc. (NOMOTC). The MMOTA has three state meetings annually and one state convention, each of which is hosted by a different chapter.
As well as offering support and understanding, the chapter features programs and occasionally guest speakers to educate and assist mothers to cope with the special concerns of multiples. We have an awesome monthly newsletter and a cope meeting for new parents. Also, chapter volunteers offer support to members whose children have specialized problems like prematurity, handicaps and learning disabilities. We invite you to visit our next meeting.
