Tips on Muscle Supplements Side Effects

 

Muscle building supplements can have harmful side effects especially when they are misused. For instance vitamin C can cause severe diarrhea when misused. Other supplements such as creatine , testosterone boosters , pre-work  supplements  and fat burners are all associated with bad side effects. Minor increases in testosterone levels increases muscle mass and decreases body fats. Use of anabolic steroids and pro-hormones can effectively boost testosterone but carry many side effects such as hair loss, acne, gynecomastia, testicular atrophy, and many more.


Similarly, when the level of free testosterone is increased, it is converted in DHT and estrogens responsible for bad side effects.

 

Supplements such as creatine, beta-alanine, arginine and others carry a number of side effects.  The body uses creatine to create energy but creatine causes a number of side effects such as stomach cramps, nausea, weight gain, dehydration, muscle cramps and kidney stress.  Arginine has a number of side effects especially if used by a person who is infected with any form of herpes virus.  The patient may suffer from cold sores. In addition, it can lead to herpes outbreak.

Similarly, use of Beta –alanine can cause a harmless tingling sensation at the surface on the skin. This side effect may be harmless but can be irritating.

 

Other pre workout supplements and fat burners have large doses of caffeine and other stimulants. Lipo6 and No-Xplode  can cause  side effects such as nervousness, insomnia, dependency and  addiction.  Other side effects associated with these supplements include heart palpitations, rhythm abnormalities, miled hypertension, convulsion, tremors, weight loss and heart attacks.  

 

Having looked at muscle supplements side effects, it is recommended that persons with heart related problems should not use stimulant such as caffeine to boost their performance. They should also avoid supplements that make the adrenaline glands to crank out adrenaline.  


Note that long term usage of the supplements can lead to dependency.
