Artist Statement

I work with clay and I create functional ceramic vessels.  I enjoy creating different forms and painting or carving designs on each piece.  I am influenced by Ancient Greek pottery and Ancient Egyptian tomb painting.  I enjoy the ideas of the narratives and myths found in these cultures. I enjoy the block-like patterns of the Greek patterns.
