Artist Statement

By focusing on the relationship between negative and positive space and the duality of material and form, I create expressive objects that resonate with the viewer. I am a jewelry artist and sculptor. My work is about exploiting the expressive capacities and physical properties inherent in materials. Because I rely on and respond to the formal aspects of a piece, the art is not fixed in meaning. My work is a physical exploration that manifests itself into well-designed and well-executed work ranging in sizes and settings from wearable jewelry to space-encompassing installations.
