ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome to my website! I am a 15 year-old photography student looking to further my artistic skills by capturing the world we live in. I love to seek the beauty in things and go on adventures to see new sights. I am very athletic and outdoorsy, meaning i am always looking for ways to get outside. I love to explore new places, capturing pictures along the way. When i am not wake surfing, snowboarding, or dancing, you can usually find me downtown or hanging out with friends. I am obsessed with pretty pictures and fashion. I am outgoing and love to meet new people. Aside from family and friends, nothing makes me happier than working really hard on a project and the result being successful.

TERM ONE REFLECTION

Term one of photography has been very interesting for me! I started out not knowing a single thing about photography. I had no self-confidence in my photos and was very nervous to try new things. With the help of my awesome teacher and classmates i was able to learn many techniques to further my photography skills. This term i have learnt how to frame my photos using rule of thirds, making a more intereting photo. I have also learned how to properly function a camera using different settings to achieve different photos. I was taught how to properly light portrait shots in the studio, and learnt how to achieve better environmental shots of people. One of the key things i have learned is the simple differences in what makes a good photo, and what makes a bad one. My idea of photography has been completely transformed because i have been opened up to a whole new level of knowledge. I now know how to execute different shots and make my ideas happen. Having fallen sick halfway through the term i had some time to reflect on my photos. After putting in some thought, i realized my photos could be greatly improved. When i came back i took portrait shots of kids in their environment. They turned out great and i am proud of myself for achieving that growth in my photography. Next term i am hoping to accomplish harder projects and attempt trickier shots. I would love to learn how to capture high speed images!
