There was eleven of us set of from Fangs Brow on a lovely sunny warm morning.  Unfortunately Jenny couldn't join us, she sent her apologies and hopes that we have a good day.   The walk took us above and around the side of Loweswater lake, we had to do a little bit of a scramble and negotiate around the rocks but nothing too demanding.  We dropped down from here to a lovely bridge where we stopped for a few minutes taking in the beautiful surroundings.  We walked up again and then gradually down to a little tarn and another bridge.  We couldn't have wished for a nicer day which made the superb views of the hills, Loweswater and Crummock even more spectacular.  After this we walked to Maggies Bridge and along to the lake.  The walk continued beside the lake for a while and on through a wooded area then along lanes and across fields.  The finish of the walk is uphill to a stile here we joined the track where we started and back to our cars.  Afterwards we drove alongside the lake, towards Lorton stopping at Newhouse Farm for a well deserved cuppa and cake.  It really was a super day.  Thanks to John for his help and for taking us.  Thanks to everyone for supporting me on my first walk as leader.
