An absolutely beautiful day, warm, dry, bright sunny periods, a perfect day for walking. So where was everyone? Only four people at the Sands, Neil & Bernard for the A walk and Mike & Me for the B walk, Lauren & Peter would be waiting at Croglin for the arrival of the masses. Only six people in total from a club with around two hundred members, it’s a very poor show. I sometimes wonder why people bother to lead walks at all. Mike and I set off for Jockey Shield. We had a lovely day, a nice relaxing stroll, some great views and some very interesting conversation. We sat and basked in the sunshine as we ate lunch and ended the day with a very nice pint in the pub at Castle Carrock. Thank you Mike for your company and a lovely walk, your efforts were not in vain. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
