End of Season Party

A wonderfully organized evening; fifty or so members and guests in the Church 

of Scotland to enjoy an evening of great food, dancing, poetry and music. Thank 

you to the catering company, to Judy for organizing it all, to Judith for helping 

to co-ordinate it and to Gill and the team for setting out and managing the food. 

Geoff, as usual, calm and unflappable, accepted the inevitable ineptitude on the 

dance floor (obviously the person-left-without-a –partner in the progressive 

dances but a new twist; a complete inability to work out which person you were 

shaking hands with and whose hands were at the bottom of the pile). Friends 

left holding the camera thought it was amusing to take some pictures of an 

array of footwear, followed by some rousing and compelling singing to piano and 

ukulele (a thank you to Hilary) before which, it must be said, many people made 

a hasty getaway. A great social, good fun evening and thank you once more to all 

who arranged it. Roll on next year!
