Assistant Coach

Nick Angelides


Coach Nick became involved with rowing as a freshman at Rutgers University, an Eastern Sprints League school, where he rowed for four years and was a captain during his senior year. He has raced for highly regarded programs such as Penn AC in Philadelphia and Community Rowing in Boston, as well as for his college at Oxford University. Since 2010, he has held coaching positions at various camps and clubs including Black Bear Sculling, New York Rowing Association, and Glastonbury High School, CT. Coach Nick is currently a PhD candidate in Cognitive Neuroscience/Psychology here at Berkeley. He is looking forward to helping the Cal Lightweights become the most efficient boat-movers they can be.

Marjorie Setchko


Coach Marjorie began her rowing career at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and continued 

successfully at the elite level where she won multiple national championships. While with the US National Team, she medaled at the Pan-American Games in the women's pair. She has also coached at some of the United States' most well-respected programs, including Vesper and Marin. Coach Marjorie is thrilled to be returning for the 2016-2017 season and looks forward to pushing her women's crews to new heights.
