His main interests are electron accelerators and quantum radiation, such as free electron lasers and laser Compton backscattering gamma-rays. He also has a strong interest in the new and renewable energy system and their implementation toward sustainable development in ASEAN.

So far, he published 189-international reviewed papers, more than 150-reviewed international conference proceedings papers, 14-patents, and 57-invite/plenary lectures.
