Graphics final project

In my attempt to render fog I implemented volumetric scattering with ray marching as well as cone lights. Here is my process.

To start

I quickly got cone lights working then worked my way into ray marching. For the ray marching I had to set up a scene I could test with. A light over the project 3 dragons seemed fitting to test if rays were being marched properly. This scene still has the sky color and the direct light from the project and is attenuated as the ray is marched, which is why the sky is dark and most areas black.

In conclusion

The more I tested it took longer and longer to render simple scenes. I suspect my generated sample rays are marching and that is what is taking so long.

Progress

As my image begins to glow the way fog should in the light.
