So this party of my siite is currently under construction - mainly because I havn't properly figured out exactly what's going to go here yet...but what I do know is there is just a huge amount of interesting debates, observations, reflections, realisations, random encounters, etc. etc. that have been stimulated by my trip so far. As these do not necessarily fit into any particular country or section, so I wanted to make sure I have a section where I can still all this stuff.

For the meantime, I've stuck a load of inpirational/interesting/funny quotes that I found particularly relevant in my situation...

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone" (Neal Donald Walsch)

"Without music, life would be a mistake" (Freidrich Neitzsche)

"Good luck is when preparation meets opportunity."

"I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." (Thomas Jefferson)

"A traveler stands in front of you for no other reason than to give you information of the road ahead. They are the cows of the road — milk them. " I actually like chatting to people for more than just extracting their info, but yeah this is one way of looking at it!

"The most interesting people in the world often bring up the most uninteresting topics in conversation if not provoked otherwise."

""One of the advantages of being disorganized is that one is always having surprising discoveries."

"Its failings notwithstanding, there is much to be said in favor of journalism in that by giving us the opinion of the uneducated, it keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community."

"It is interesting that people believe in government as something that is supposed to protect them against crime. But they don't expect that government sometimes is even worse than criminals. Criminals will take your wallet but your government will take your freedom. And your wallet."

"Go down the rotten staircase into the poorly-lit basement. Take a right at the leopard-print couch, walk past the moldy bathroom, and the shower will be inside the next door on your right-hand-side."

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime"

"Give a man a gun and he can rob a bank. But give a man a bank, and he can rob the world."

"Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him, he's warm for the rest of his life" (Terry Pratchet)

"If the clock appears to move faster than it did in sixth grade, it’s only because we haven’t actualized our power as adults to set our own recess schedule"

"It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and... there's no knowing where you might be swept off to." (JRR Tolkien)

"Dont cry because its over, smile because it happened." (Dr Seuss)

“Carefully watch your thoughts, for they become your words. Manage and watch your words, for they will become your actions. Consider and judge your actions, for they become your habits. Acknowledge and watch your habits, for they become your values. Understand and embrace your values, for they become your destiny.”

"Some people are so poor, all they have is money..."

Finally, a joke I found particularly relevant. An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman are in a plane crash and end up stuck on a desert island. After a month or so, the Irishman and Scotsman build a raft and manage to escape from the island. Years later, a helicopter patrol finds the Englishman and they tell him, "Such a shame you didn't realsie those other two guys were on the island, you could have gone with them..." The Englishman replies "Oh no, I did realise they were there...

"We just hadn't been properly introduced yet...!"

Thanks for that last one Radu! :)
