JP Strickland was raised in the small river town of Saint Francisville, Louisiana. JP started playing guitar with his friends in his school days. Now at the age of 19, he began to play on instrumentals for a local label in his region called Area 61 Records. This year, he began to take music more seriously and just released his very first recorded demo called "To The River." JP is inspired by all genres including Country, Blues, and Soul, as well as many others. Strickland's soft country accent contributes to the relaxing melodies in his music.
