Elizabeth Donderstock was born and raised in a religious commune dubbed the "Squeemish" and now makes cheese balls, the main export of the village of Cluster Haven. One day, realizing how unfulfilling her life is, Elizabeth decides to leave the Squeemish in search of bigger and better things. The Book of Liz is the story of the people Elizabeth stumbles into in the real world, and how the Squeemish back at Cluster Haven struggle to survive without her. |
