All of my paintings are acrylic. Originals are either painted on canvas or birch wood. Prints are available in a variety of sizes and on Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper or Lyve Canvas using UV inks. The prices below are based on printing on Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper. If the size or print type you are looking for is not listed please inquire for pricing and availability. Although elephants are known to weigh quite a bit they seem to walk noiselessly with grace. The Salvador Dali inspired legs of this elephant exemplify this gracefulness as the elephant rises above the busyness depicted in the cityscape below into a blooming lotus flower.

This painting was inspired by one of my favourite quotes “When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe” – John Muir. I’m going to nerd out a bit but it is very fascinating how wolves can have such an amazing effect on their surrounding ecosystem through trophic cascade, they can even change the functioning of rivers! This painting comes close to hinting at this intriguing relationship as the wolf and flowers become one.

A psychic once told me that my spirit animal was a fox… so I went a little crazy with the inspiration for this one. The fox offers teachings about dealing with obstacles and in resistance in life with intelligence rather than confronting them head on. They remind you to keep a sense of humor about the lessons you learn and use them to support your ability to find the sharpest and smartest solution to any problem.

The circle is recognized as a symbol of wholeness and integration with the centre; it is a universal symbol for the spirit. I painted many circles into the detail of this painting after being inspired by a drop in Aikido drop in class – this Japanese martial art focused on using the power of circles in self defense. By using entering and turning movements the force of the attacker can be re-directed rather than opposing it head-on. Pretty cool!

The hansa hand is used to ward off the “evil eye.” Have you ever noticed how you can usually sense someone staring at you, or if you stare at someone too long they usually sense it and end up looking your way? I feel as though there is definitely a force behind the eyes! This painting will ward off any stink eyes! And do your part by only looking at others with love and kindness.

Do you ever wonder the real meaning behind a dream catcher? It was believed by the Native Americans that dreams are sent to us by sacred spirits. The hole in the center of the dream catcher allows the good through while the web captures the bad where they stay trapped until they disappear in the morning light. The feathers are hung as a symbol of breath or the importance of air.

There is something so unexplainably great about being near the ocean. It’s refreshing, captivating relaxing and invigorating all at the same time. And it is the habitat of some of the world’s most amazing creatures. This painting was inspired by Hawiian humpback whales, which in the past have become endangered due to decades of whaling. Although their numbers are now increasing they are still endangered.

A psychic once told me that my spirit animal was a fox… so I went a little crazy with the inspiration for this one. This fox painting was a commission based off of the original painting of mine, “Spirit Fox.” The client asked for a replica of the painting as the original was already sold. It was a very exciting experience to see whether I could recreate a painting that grew from spontaneous mark making and little direction.

Handy framing tips!
Okay so great news, you are interested in purchasing a print! Now to frame it....
Print Size: 14x11" - I recommend a 16x20" frame with a 12x16: mat. The IKEA "VIRSERUM" frame 41x51 cm (16x20") frame with the 31x41 cm (12x16") frame works great
Print Size: 14x19" - will fit a 17x21" frame (this will accommodate for the white around the outside of the print and will leave room for the hand written signature I put on each one!)
Print Size: 11x11" or 14x14" - square prints are designed to accommodate mat boards as that is the proper archival way to frame them. If you do not wish to mat the print you can choose a frame to match the size of the paper.

I always love a painting with a story, and this one is very close to my heart. The image of this waving humpback will forever have a place in my memory. This was my view from my kayak, shortly before I said yes to a forever love. Maybe I got a little imaginative with the beaming rays of sunshine but hey, that day did end with the most beautiful sunset. I am so thankful for such a magical day, and this magical love I have found.

One day however, it struck me that this phrase also speaks to some of the greatest moments in our lives. Those too don’t last for ever, so it is important to be present, and soak them in for all that they are, while you can.
