I wanted to thank you for all the effort and hours you put into working with SCMHA players this past season, in order to help further develop their skills in all the Rep age groups. You brought a sense of passion and professionalism to your job everyday which was essential in helping guide these players to their potential and as a result they improved every week. You showed up to practices and diligently worked with Coaches/players as well as reported team progress to me, this effort insured an overall positive experience for the teams on and off the ice.
Director of Rep
Tim Jarvis - Head Coach HGHA Girls Rep
When I first contacted Darryl about bringing his Personal Best Hockey and Shoot2Score program to HGHA Atom Rep, we decided to sit down together and discuss what my goals were for the girls. We realized that we both were passionate about instilling proper techniques and try to eliminate as many poor ones as possible during this crucial time of development that would be a solid foundation for the girls.
Darryl has the great ability to speak to my players on their own level, which is particularly appreciated by someone like me who is not as knowledgeable regarding the fine art of developing young minds on stickhandling/skating and the use of edges. His season long program proved to be invaluable for the girls and myself as a Coach. Everyone on the team has taken away a greater knowledge for the game. He has always proved reliable, helpful and very pleasant, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any coach or parent looking for development for their kids.
HGHA Atom Rep
Dr Dion Neame - Coach of Ancaster Avalanche 2001, Aces Coach
Thank you Darryl for all your help with the Ancaster Avalanche AA Major Peewee 2001 team in the 2013 – 2014 season.
You have been instrumental in turning this team into “the hardest working team” and an “unbelievable success story” in AA hockey in Ontario.
Last year this team was ranked consistently less than 80 in the AA Ontario My Rankings. Over the past 10 games in January 2014, we are ranked 12th and are challenging for a second round Playdown position.
Your positive approach, encouraging manner, structured practices emphasizing skills, scoring, team play have made all the difference. Your formula of physical and mental superiority over opponents has changed the demeanor of the boys and contributed to the success of this team on the ice, as well as off the ice, as the boys confidence soars.
All the best, Coach D
Dave Havers - father of Jack Havers (SHOOT2SCORE student and Aces player)
Darryl Sinclair has given our son Jack the skills, speed, and most of all confidence he has needed to take his game to the next level. The rapport he builds with his players allows him to be both encouraging, while at the same time, set high expectations that push them to go beyond what they think is possible for them to achieve! Jack always looks forward to Darryl's sessions, and knows that when he goes he's there to work hard and learn from someone who knows how the game is played. We will always be grateful for what he has done for our son, and more importantly, look forward to what he will continue to do to make Jack the best he can be.
