I am a multi-disciplinary creative director with a focus on building audience-led strategies, stories and experiences for brands.  

 

We live in an age where people actively avoid what they don’t care about, but spend time engaging with what they do.

Businesses, therefore, have had to significantly adapt their marketing approach.  They now need to identify the right spaces to play in and work hard to earn an audience's attention.  They must inspire, educate or entertain in order to create emotional connections and build loyalty.

 

So, I take an integrated and hands-on approach to creating work that could and should take any form and live anywhere in order to be meaningful to an audience - from ATL to long & short-form film, documentary to experiential, artistic collaborations, social campaigns, digital products and platforms - work that keeps brands at the forefront of culture and the forefront of people's minds. 

 

 

 

 

Career Overview

 

I've been very lucky to have spent the last fifteen years conceiving, directing and shaping award-winning ideas and building and leading teams 

to bring those ideas to life.  In the process delivering genuinely transformational work for some of the biggest brands in the world including; 

Microsoft, Virgin, Fiat, Mattel, Disney, Sony, Universal Music, LinkedIn, Samsung, Nike, Landrover, KFC, Novartis, Intel, Discovery, StubHub, Coutts Bank.


Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting from Brighton University in 1999, I cut my teeth in production at Black Dog Films (R.S.A) and have since had a career that has spanned film, commercials and music video production and direction, ATL and TTL marketing and communications, 

brand identity and strategy, animation, digital design and build. 


In 2006, after four years, I left Addiction Worldwide to set up Duke & Earl, an integrated creative and innovation agency that brought big ideas, technology, and production together without silos.  As co-founder and partner, I oversaw all aspects of the agency's strategic and creative output and growth as a business as well as running the agency's three key accounts for Microsoft, Virgin Media & Mattel.


In 2013, I joined Publicis Media to establish a creative department in the UK and help lead the growth of its global content marketing offering.  

I was Head of Creative at Publicis Media Content and part of its senior leadership.  I left Publicis in 2017 to work independently with both clients directly and with agencies.
