The Student Financial Planning Association is affiliated with the national Financial Planning Association (FPA) as well as the local chapter, the FPA of Baton Rouge.

The Student Financial Planning Association was established at Louisiana State University to provide a progressive learning environment for students interested in pursing a career as a financial advisor.
