English 384A explores the relationship between advertising and social networking platforms.  User profiles and feedback are persuasive communication that strongly affects human emotion and decision-making, which links them to the enterprise and essential function of advertising.  As a Rhetoric and Writing course, we focus on how emerging technologies influence the ways in which advertising is defined, practiced, and utilized.
