20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios say “Peanuts” will hit theaters Nov. 6, 2015. It’s the first full-length computer-animated film based on the Charles Schulz comic strip that ran from 1950 to 2000.Charlie Brown and Snoopy have updated looks in a trailer unveiled Tuesday. The teaser shows the beloved pair up to their old tricks, as Snoopy tries to steal the spotlight and Charlie Brown mutters his famous line “Good grief.”

The trailer doesn’t reveal whether the rest of the Peanuts crew will also be in the film. But it seems likely that the comic strip’s favorite siblings — sweet Linus and sassy Lucy — will also be in 3-D on the big screen.

From the studio that brought you Rio, and will be bringing to theaters Rio 2 in mere weeks comes the Peanuts movie! By the looks of it, peanuts fans, the movie will be 2D after all, simply using 3D effects Comics seem to be the most successful movies right now, so why not start with the classics of the classics: Charlie Brown and Snoopy, the classic American tales of a boy and his dog. After all, a boy and his dog seems to do well in the markets considering Mr. Peabody and Sherman are box office tops this week.Worried about the adaptation not staying true to its Charles Schulz comic strip? Well you're in luck! Charles Schulz' son will actually be the producer on the project. The trailer will debut on Good Morning America today! Check by for more information as it comes!

We’ve already got Mr. Peabody & Sherman and The Lego Movie riding high in theaters, and this weekend brings the anxiously awaited sequel, Muppets Most Wanted. And the rest of 2014's kids’ movies slate will include: Rio 2, Legends of Oz: Dorothy Returns, Maleficent, How to Train Your Dragon 2, The Boxtrolls, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, Annie, Paddington, Planes: Fire and Rescue, Home and Big Hero 6, among others.

But what about 2015? Isn’t everyone planning ahead that far? 20th Century Fox certainly is. They are producing a new animated 3D feature film – along with Blue Sky Studios – of Charles Schulz‘s beloved comic strip characters called, simply, Peanuts. And it’s due out on Nov. 6, 2015.

They’re priming the pump early, though, with the very first trailer, released today. It’s a minimal affair, just Charlie Brown and Snoopy, with a cameo by Woodstock. And it’s solely for promotional purposed, as you’d expect; no real sneak peaks at the actual footage or plot (or any faves like Linus, Lucy or Peppermint Patty). But if you’ve always wanted to be able to see Snoopy’s actual fur, check it out below.

Craig Schulz and Bryan Schulz, respectively the son and grandson of Charles, are producers, along with Bridesmaids director Paul Feig. It was Feig, in fact, who was tasked with making sure the Peanuts characters don’t go off the rails and start acting out of character as they try to bring the whole group into the modern age. Both younger Schulz men are teamed up with Bryan’s writing partner, a young gun named Cornelius Uliano with only a few shorts to his name, for the screenplay. And the director is Steve Martino, who held the same job on Ice Age: Continental Drift and Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who!Body: They’re priming the pump early, though, with the very first trailer, released today.
