(Above: Digital drawing completed on Photoshop for a difficult advertising project-Peg promotion! This is one of three illustrations, the idea being 'use your imagination' as I used to think clothes pegs look like little characters, and I was suggesting that the pegs could be used for more than just practicality.)

I have moved on from Photoshop this year at University, and gone back to the simplicity of hand drawn work, yet I am still proud of my previous work, and like to use my Graphics Tablet still for fun.

Emily is a third year Illustrator, studying at the University of Northampton. After a two year Foundation Degree at New College Stamford, she realised that her goal in life was to become a freelance Illustrator, and use her love of art and design to create commercial work. Although she has different styles, her body of work has a similar look to it. In the past she has used acrylics and watercolours, drawn with a graphics tablet on Photoshop, used an airbrush tool and done a lot of pencil work over the last 10 years. Recently she has excelled in pen and pencil, one of her projects focussing on anatomical drawings and ink work of the skull. 3D is another talent she has gained in the last year, creating clay skull models to illustrate the abnormalities of the skull.
