INTRODUCTION

Academix presents 'the vocal splendor of Italian Baroque’.

The early Italian Baroque music is the cradle of the Venetian and Napolitan Baroque opera.  Masters such as Monteverdi and Cavalli were its founders.  It is a rich, complex but especially emotional and expressive style of music that originated from the text: the “recitar cantando”.

Through this course, we immerse ourselves in this repertoire and we'll try to bring the splendor of this music back to life.
